The
Cerro Castillo range is a major mountain chain
that cuts across the regular north to south
spine of the Andes. During the trip we will
go through extensive forested areas and cross
the glacial morrains of the Penon and Castillo
glaciers.

The
river Claro runs through a valley originating
from the glaciers of the Cordillerano and Cuatro
Puntos Hills. At the end of the valley there
is a huemul reserve ( small native deer ).

northern icefield is aproximately 120 kms by 80
kms of glacial ice and ice field features which
includes the highest summit in Patagonia, San
